P&F Welcome in the Square 
We hope you can join us for our P&F Welcome in the Square. We would love to welcome you to St Andrew’s Cathedral School with a barista-made takeaway coffee. You will have the opportunity to collect your P&F magnetic calendar and say a quick hello to your P&F Executive. Second-hand uniforms will also be available to purchase at the pop-up Uniform Shop in the Square. This is a free event for all parents and friends of the School.

Each student in the School will receive an invitation to attend a scheduled Starting Well Interview with their 2024 class teacher, to be held in the days prior to the official start of the school year. You will receive an allocated time on an allocated day, if you are unable to make that time, the teacher will organise an alternative interview time with your child once the school year commences.

Parents will meet the class teacher and will be involved in a ‘get to know my child’ session during these interviews.

Special invitation: Kindergarten parents will be permitted to collect their child from the classroom between 12.15pm and 12.30pm. The remaining Kindergarten students will be dismissed from the Ground Floor at 12:30pm

Orientation DayYear 7 students and parents will meet in the Square at 8.30am. Parents and students will move into the Cathedral together. Year 7 students will then be ushered from the Cathedral at 9.25am to the Chapter House, while the parents remain in the Cathedral. Activities will be organised by the Head of Year.   
 
All students are to wear their current school uniform.

Meet your TutorYear 7 – you will need to attend a 15-minute Tutor, student and parent meeting. An invitation will be sent out in January with your time slot. Students will also be issued with their School laptops, timetables, diaries and have their photos taken. Once this meeting is complete and items collected, students can leave. There is no student supervision on this day.

First day of classes All new Year 8 and 9 students will meet with The Deputy Head of Middle School, Mrs Jenny Kemp in the main School foyer (St Andrew’s House) at 8.15am. From that point on Mrs Kemp will take them to their areas to get them settled into their lockers etc. for the days activities and will be meeting with their buddies.

All Year 8 and 9 students (new and returning) will go to their Year Meetings at 8.30am.  
-The Head of Year 8 will meet all Year 8 students in the Year 8 open area on Level 5.  
-The Head of Year 9 will meet all Year 9 students in the Year 9 open area on Level 6.
